Warm vs Uncomfortable

This is one of the pieces I have been working on in my current project, the concept of altering just one or two words and changing an entire piece.

The text font and boldness is inspired by the work of Edward Ruscha, specifically his Mountains series.

These two works need each other, they interact with one another in a way that really builds on and thus emphasises the juxtaposition of the works.

The “toothed” personification offers an element of horror to the imagery

I found it particularly interesting that the uncomfortable description paired with the inverted colours was quite effective, but the same description with the normal colours felt only confusing and seemed to cancel out.


Another of my experimentations into this idea
